Words are key to landing your video the top spot
With the help of video, your Edmonton business could be number one – if filed properly.
Climbing to the top of Google’s search engine results page sounds like a difficult task to do. But in reality, all you need is a business strategy for your video production that includes keywords.
According to Forrester, (http://blogs.forrester.com/
Forrester explains that when putting your video online, be sure to insert keywords into the video filename.
These keywords should identify what the video is about in the most simple terms, this way, when a user is searching for a related topic your video becomes one of the top results.
Long gone are the days when a simple Google search merely displayed a website or text page. Now, more major search engines are adopting the “blended search,” practice where videos, pictures, infographics and maps are displayed more frequently, explains Forrester.
This is a prime opportunity for Edmonton businesses to take advantage of the blended search method.
Another trick in making your video high on the results page is to upload the content to YouTube.
Businesses can then embed the YouTube videos to their own website ultimately optimizing the search traffic.
In fact, an infographic compiled by Mashable.com shows that 20 hours of video is uploaded to YouTube every minute. That’s 28, 800 hours of video every day or, three years of video updated to the site every day.
Has your Edmonton business been using key words when filing video online? Do you think this practice will help your video become more searchable?
