I vowed that when I was ready I would do something to give back in his name.  My dad was the most giving person in the world, if you were stranded, needed help and he was physically able to help, he didn’t hesitate, not for a second.

Here’s what we at fusedlogic would like to do.  We’re going to dedicate one hour of video production at fusedlogicTV per month FREE to non-profit and charitable organizations in Alberta.

What does FREE video production at fusedlogicTV mean?

Simple, we’ll be setting aside (4) 15 minute show slots for non-profits.  As a non-profit or charitable organization, you would “like” the fusedlogic Facebook Fanpage and then tell us what you’d do with the free 15 minutes of recorded talk show format video produced in the fusedlogicTV studio.

The top (4) ideas with the most Facebook likes at the end of the available voting time on our fanpage will win the available production slots for that month.  You will have to host your own show, prepare your own simple script, and promote your own show as you see fit.  As part of the provided free production service, fusedlogicTV will supply you with the ability to Skype in up to (2) people, and you’d also be able to invite up to (2) in studio guests.

Once completed, fusedlogicTV will supply you with your digital file, you’ll own the content.  However, you will have agree to allow us to include production credits but your branding will be front and centre.

We’ll be starting this program formally in September, and just thought we’d give you an advanced  heads up.  I’m very excited about this, and hope that you’ll take us up on the offer once it’s officially launched.

I want to believe that people are honourable, but my “faith” in humanity has been repeatedly tested.

Despite being impossible, life can also give you a shot in the arm.  For example, Terry Paranych joined other great clients, such as, the host of Focal Point – John Cutler, and Mommy Talk’s Narissa Singh to name two, all of which are rock solid human beings.

Also, last night a gathering took place that seems to represent precisely what I want to surround myself with in terms of human spirit.  I was invited by John Winslow (@sirthinks) to attend an organizational meeting for an informal group who’s looking to raise donations for Edmonton’s Terra Association during their upcoming annual Baby Heros campaign in October.

Our non-partisan group, comprised of PC MLA’s Doug Elniski, and Honourable Thomas Lukaszuk.  Also, Wildrose hopefuls Kyle McLeod, Wayde Lever, John Corie, and other caring citizens like Tamara Stecyk and @GuitarKat has pledged to raise enough funds to purchase 65,000 diapers for young single moms in need.  Did you know that Terra helps approximately 600 young moms in this way?  My daughter is 6 years old but when we bought diapers I remember that was no small monthly bill.  Roughly 200 diapers per month is the average.  If you’re still in high school, and have a child that means a minimum of $100.00 per month, $1,200 per year is required, a $1,200 bucks many don’t have.

There is simply nothing more precious in life than our children.  Working with people like this on such an important need will go a long way to restoring my faith in humanity and I’m going to do all I can to help.

At minimum, I hope you’ll support this cause with any sized donation, although a $100 or more when the time comes would be fantastic.

How can social media help make the world a better place today?

I’d like to suggest that we all give back to society in some small way.  A simple act of kindness done today.  Reach out to your network with that inspirational message and maybe like the above image suggests we can expand our impact through working together and generate a happy result.

I’ve supported the charitable http://www.Kiva.org as my way to accomplish this goal today.

I’ve been a member on Kiva for sometime now.  To further increase the impact of my loan in a general way, I’m hoping to inspire others to do the same.  You can help someone across the globe for as little as $25.00.  For me, helping makes me feel good and I’m sure it will for you too and the Kiva process is simple and effective.  These are not donations but loans to struggling business people in developing countries.  Why not help them grow their business and by the way, I’ve experienced a 100% repay rate.
