Thanks for re-adding me! Happy to be the scapegoat. I'm glad that Twitter for facebook omits @replies, and it would be nice to perhaps have the option to remove any tweets with a hashtag "#democampyeg" for example, because most people on facebook would be bewildered anyway. On the other hand, it allows for a new conversation with non-twitter users.

I use selective twitter status so you can choose a selection of your tweets for facebook and have the others just for twitter.

That's a really good point. It's always good to strike a balance between keeping people up to date and telling them too much.

I know a lot of my friends are not on Twitter because it's too much for most of them.

On a positive note, my friend is adding me back after I told her how she can see less from me. :) Kind of funny actually. I am still debating severing the tie between Facebook and Twitter.

One positive thing I have noticed is that I have many more comments in Facebook since I did feed Twitter into Facebook. It would just be nice if Facebook gave me a way to moderate how much is fed out.

But, considering they're trying to look like Facebook, I doubt that will happen!

Thanks for the comment!

Alain,

I've chosen to completely omit Twitter from my Facebook for precisely this reason. It's a tough line to draw between keep your friends up dated vs. spamming them. :)

I basically figured that any of my Facebook friends that cared about my Twitter updates were already on Twitter. The Facebook friends that didn't care about my Twitter updates were definitely not on Twitter and didn't like Facebook being used like Twitter. So it was a pretty easy line to draw.

Good luck with your decision!
