Hey Edmonton, stick a pin in it!

Whether you have been pinning for months, or are just getting started on Pinterest, it’s recent popularity is undeniable. Initially described as a virtual magazine, a scrapbook of lofty ideas and even eye candy…it has quickly become so much more.  Pins are being compiled, showcasing DIY ideas, recipes, quotes, movies, music, favorite products and establishments, bringing them to the attention of other “pinners” and thus: the almighty “share”.

How can this impact greater Edmonton Area businesses?  Here is an example of why you should push your brand on Pinterest:  If  a client has a good experience, they google your business, pin your logo and share it.  You can WAIT for future clients to have that experience, or you can be proactive and have that pin already available, circulating on Pinterest.  Be sure your pin is linked to your website , add your Twitter handle and KEYWORDS to the comment space below.  This provides another SEO tool for your business using social media. Be creative, pin your products! In the food industry?  Why not pin a signature dish…ensuring that pin leads them right back to you.

What is immediately noticable about Pinterest?  It is a very positive platform, a breath of fresh air if you will, so if your business is looking for positive exposure, start pinning and generate that conversation.
