fusedlogic Team Heads Down to The Works

Taking advantage of a beautiful day (which has now turned into a terrifying windstorm), the fusedlogic team jumped into our mobile office and paid a visit to Edmonton’s The Works Festival. We were met by some friendly volunteers, patrons and even an event Director who took the time to sit down and chat with us for a bit. In fact, after chatting with one particularly outgoing volunteer and asking for her Twitter handle, I found out that I had already conversed with Ee on Twitter before (@Kabluey), and that one of our other team members, Evan, had met her before in person!  Just another (of many) examples of the social web bringing people together. With the connections we’ve all made, it’s hard to imagine someone thinking of social media as a waste of time.

We also got to meet some interestesting people from Chrysalis – an Albertan society for citizens with disabilities – who let us join them at their table.  And finally, we were able to chat with one of my favourite local artists, Ben Sures, who is spending the week creating a brilliant piece of concept art.

We’ve included some pictures below, but if you get the chance, check out the festival for yourself!
