Carol McBee and Gillian Galante of Bossy Mama a business network for entrepreneurial women, created the iMedia conference to bring social media enthusiasts of all backgrounds together. I’m honoured to be invited to present one of the breakout sessions.
Session: Creating Personality on a Business Blog
At 3:30pm on May 5th at the Fantasyland Hotel I’ll be providing some insights into the topic session title listed above. My take will be more about managing your “reputation” online with the blog as the hub of that important business activity. In my session, you’ll learn how to generate “earned media”, and increase brand awareness using your blog and social media.
Further, I’ll be providing some interesting examples of reputation management both positive and negative extending beyond the blog as well.
I believe in an integrated approach to one’s digital strategy, so I will be quick to explain the correlation between the different platforms and how establishing your blogging personality effectively is a key part of properly managing your business or personal reputation online.
Carol McBee and Gillian Galante have compiled a strong local line-up. Attending iMedia will be time well spent with expertise such as imported keynote presenters Darren Barefoot and Gillian Bollwitt, each from the Vancouver area.
I expect to learn a lot from the keynotes, and sessions that I’m not a part of, there’s some very smart people presenting and attending, it should be a great time.
The finer points of my talk will reveal that understanding how developing an online persona for your brand and doing it well takes a conscience effort and an awareness that not everyone has.
This fact can become an advantage for you and your business, and with that, I hope you’ll join me at iMedia and participate in my session.
If you have some questions you’d like answered provide them here and I’ll look to integrate them in my presentation.
